A quick word headed into the weekend....
While we here at Rewed Bride are ecstatic about the upcoming wedding, we wanted to pause a minute and remind other newly-minted brides-to-be that the shiny ring on your finger is quite valuable. Being one of those women who has suffered the misfortune of losing an engagement ring long, long ago - nearly 15 years now (geez....I'm getting old), I cannot stress the importance of insurance.
If you do NOTHING else anyone recommends on any bridal website, PLEASE have your ring insured. Speak to the people who are insuring your home or even your car. They can steer you toward the proper coverage for your prized gem. Sometimes this requires a rider to your current policy, and other times it will be covered within your homeowners policy, depending upon the value.
Losing a sentimental piece of jewelry is like losing a dear friend. Losing your engagement ring and then having to pay the entire cost to replace it is heart-wrenching, not to mention hard on your budget.
