In the Know

I have long been a fervent fan of Colin Cowie, writing a post about his book here.  The South African native has an eye for the magical and inspiring, a cool James Bond debonair and the ability to convince you that you, too, can throw spectacular parties.

I'm thrilled to have been invited to preview Colin Cowie's new website, Colin Cowie Weddings  Chock full of his advice on everything from chic flowers to proper undergarments and convincing your man to write thank you notes, this website is my new go-to for all things wedding.  It will be accessible through his main website by late October.

Read All About It

When it comes to a new project, my favorite thing to do is read on the subject.  In the 21st century, where nearly everything is digital, there are a few things that are just better in printed form.  I've read several wedding books and love reading any good ones (recommendations please!) that are tossed my way.  While there are tons of books with great wedding planning advice, nothing beats a great photograph that inspires you.

One of my go-to books is Colin Cowie's Wedding Chic  Chock full of beautiful images, this book also provides sound advice for planning a wedding from one of the greats.  While Mr. Cowie tends to plan extravagant affairs, there is great advice that everyday brides can use regardless of budget.  My worn, dog-eared copy has been my inspiration for everything from birthday parties to floral gifts.
